Ashley enters the foyer of Forest Grove and begins to slowly walk inside. She looks around the large entrance way as she looks for someone to interact with, to let them know she had arrived for her meeting with the director.
After a few steps in, Ashley looks to her left to find a somewhat secluded receptionist area. The area is on the other side of a wall with a plexiglass window separating the main foyer and the receptionist.
Ashley approaches with a confident smile on her face and greets the woman sitting on the other side of the window.
“Hello, my name is Ashley Anderssen. I’m here to meet with a Dr. Vilone.” Ashley says in a gleeful manner. She stands for a moment as the woman says nothing and just turns to look at her computer screen.
“Umm, I think he is expecting me…” Ashley follows up in a rather unconfident and ‘small-talk’ like fashion.
The woman continues to say nothing as she looks at her computer screen.
“Ah yes, he’s been expecting you, Miss Alexander.” The receptionist says.
“Um, it’s Anderss…” Ashley begins to correct the woman.
“…Can you please verify your age for me, Miss Alexander?” The woman interrupts Ashley as if she isn’t even paying attention to her.
“Um… I’m 19, but I’m not Alexa…” Ashley begins to say, before again being interrupted by the receptionist.
“...ah, Doctor Vilone.” The receptionist says as she looks over Ashley’s shoulder.
Ashley turns around to find a disheveled looking older man with wild white hair and eyebrows wearing a labcoat. The man stands with a subtle smile on his face as he stares at Ashley.
“This is Miss Alexander. She’s here for her appointment with you.” The receptionist introduces Ashley to the Doctor as Ashley rolls her eyes because the woman refuses to get Ashley’s last name correct.
“Miss Alexander. I’ve been expecting you.” Doctor Vilone greets Ashley.
“Hello…” Ashley replies with an enthusiastic smile.
“Please, walk with me to my office Miss Alexander. My staff are nearly finished preparing for your arrival…” The Doctor says with a smirk as he extends his hand out, signifying to Ashley in which direction his office is.
“Oh, um, okay. Thank you Doctor. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Ashley says with a smile.
“The pleasure is all mine, Miss Alexander…” The Doctor replies with a nefarious smile as the two begin to exit the lobby area in the direction of Doctor Vilone’s office.
