McKayla turns her head and looks at the Officer in disbelief. She still can’t believe she’s been arrested for such a simple misunderstanding. McKayla glares into the Officer’s eyes and nods her head while raising her eyebrows as if to say ‘Really? You’re going to go through with this?’ The Officer says nothing and continues to escort McKayla toward the entranceway of the precinct. McKayla sighs, turns her head forward and stares at the glass doors as they become closer and closer. She’d never been taken to jail before. Not in her entire life. There was one close call when she was in college, but a bit of flirtatious banter and sympathetic lip pouting led the male officer to let McKayla go with a warning. This is an entirely whole different story. McKayla’s heartbeat begins to increase as she worries what kind of treatment she might endure while behind bars.
