Commander Cassie Cage of Earthrealm’s Special Forces unit escorts an Outworld prisoner alongside her mother, General Sonya Blade. Princess Kitana walks slowly through an Outworld dungeon with her wrists shackled behind her back on her way to stand trial in Earthrealm.
Prior to the current time merger brought forth by Kronika, a titan known as the keeper of time, Kitana was cast under a spell by the Outworld sorcerer Quan Chi and forced against her will to perform several evil deeds at the sorcerer’s will. Lord Raiden, thunder god and protector of Earthrealm, had summoned Kitana to stand trial in front of the Elder Gods. But when Kitana refused and sent several of Outworld’s greatest warriors to thwart Raiden’s plan, the God of Thunder had no choice but to send two of Earthrealm’s most notorious fighters to retrieve the disgraced Princess.
Having defeated Shinnok in Mortal Kombat, Commander Cage made light work of Princess Kitana and was able to detain her easily. Now, only mere moments stand between Kitana’s time in Outworld and her extradition to Earthrealm. Will Jade be able to rescue her friend in time before she is brought to Earthrealm to stand trial?
