"Introduction to Incarceration 17"
Parky Road, Brighton, Friday June 5th; 21:23
Officers Hoskins and Cox continue to move toward Alexis as she kneels on the sidewalk of Parky Road.
“Nice and easy Hosk. Nice and easy.” Officer Cox suggests to her partner as the two move in closer and closer. After reaching into her pouch, Officer Hoskins pulls out a pair of steel handcuffs and unlatches one of the shackles.
“No sudden movements, Love. Don’t make this an incident.” Officer Hoskins says to Alexis.
“Please, believe me.” Alexis pleads with the Officers.
“I gotta go with the information, Love. We’ll let the courts settle it later.” Officer Hoskins says to Alexis. Alexis sighs with disappointment as she knows the Officers are only doing their job. Alexis lowers her head slightly showing a sign of defeat and surrender as Officer Hoskins latches the cuff around Alexis’ right wrist. She then quickly brings Alexis’ left wrist down behind her back and latches it in the other cuff, securing Alexis’ arms behind her back. Alexis looks upward toward the sky as she exhales dramatically through her nose. Officer Hoskins places her right arm on Alexis’ right shoulder and wraps her left hand around the chain holder Alexis’ cuffs together, gripping it tightly.
“Alright, Love. Let’s stand you up.” Officer Hoskins says as she begins to assist Alexis in standing. Meanwhile, Officer Cox communicates on her radio to the dispatcher at the station.
“‘The bird has been snared’. I repeat, ‘The bird has been snared’.” Officer Cox says over the radio.
“Copy, loud and clear, Cox.” The woman dispatcher says over the radio with the background noise of other Officers celebrating at the station.
“Over this way, Love.” Officer Hoskins says as she directs Alexis over toward her parked police cruiser.
