It's been a little while since I've done an update on here. I've been a little busy with my career, but I had some things transpire in the last day or so, and I thought now would be a good time to touch base.
Well, the out of touch, discriminating clowns that have far too much time on their hands strike again. I received an email yesterday stating that the "goods or services offered on your site appear on the list of restricted products and services provided by Wix [webhost] Payments’ payment processor, or otherwise do not comply with our Terms of Service." Basically, this only affects my previous payment method that was handled through Wix. PayPal is still active and I have currently switched over to a different, more reputable payment processor. So, hopefully everything should be good receiving payments going forward. However, I don't know how this will affect customers who used the old payment system. Does everything just transfer over? Will all you billing info have to be reentered when your month is up? Will you have to do it now since I changed it? Unfortunately, Wix is a very lackadaisical company and does not treat anything with any sort of urgency or importance whatsoever, so I doubt I will get any sort of intelligent response from them. That being said, if you do find that there is some sort of issue with you payments or card info, etc., please don't hesitate to let me know. I have had countless Wix employees visit my site for technical issues, and not one of them said anything about the content. Nothing has changed on my site and it appears that their lazy work ethic has just taken a long time to catch up. If you check out their "Restricted Products and Services", you'll see quite the list of services. Personally, I don't feel that this site violates any one of them, in technical legal terms, but we all know how prude and boring people of this nature who discriminate against us can be. You'll also see that there are several services on their restrictions list that really show the true colors of the bullies at Wix, like charities, optometrists/eyecare specialists (contact lenses) and several other harmless and frankly beneficial services.
Anyway, please let me know right away if you have any issues regarding your payments and billing services. I will do everything in my power to fix everything.
