Dozens of fallen leaves rustle under Ashley’s feet as she skips gleefully through the dense forest. The sky glows brightly with an orange radiance as the sun begins to set over the small town of Oakville and the surrounding woods. Ashley knows she has little time before the forest becomes dark, but her excitement for the upcoming costume party has her preoccupied by the festivities to come.
